NGRI is a premier institute indulged actively in research and development in the field of earth sciences, geochemistry, geo-physics, geology etc. Its major areas of operation are exploration for hydrocarbons, mineral and ground water resources, understanding earth's interior. It has excellent research facilities and programs.
The scientists will be required to plan, acquire and process data related to rocks, geology, hydrocarbons etc. They will have to carry research and development work in various areas.
Eligibility:A candidate must not exceed the age of 40 years. However, relaxation can be claimed as per the govt. of India rules.
Educational Qualifications: A candidate must possess a first class M.E/M.TECH degree or M.Sc or PhD in the concerned department. A candidate must also have a minimum experience of 7 years after M.Sc or 5 years after M.TECH or 4 years after PhD.
No. of posts: There are 6 posts for scientists in total.
Pay scale:The candidates will be given a pay scale of Rs15600-39100 plus a grade pay of Rs7600 and other usual allowances will be as per the rules.
Selection process:The candidates will be short listed on the basis of their educational qualifications and experience. The short listed candidates will be called for an interview.
How to apply:The candidates are required to apply as per the institute form that can be obtained from the controller of administration, NGRI in Hyderabad. The candidates are required to send a DD of Rs100 drawn in the favor of Director, NGRI payable at Hyderabad.
The candidates must also send the copies of their essential certificates. All the applications must reach the controller of administration.
The last date for the receipt of applications is 7th October 2009.
